From the elders of Michigantown Christian Church:
Statement regarding the state mask mandate…
First and foremost, if you do not feel well, we ask that you stay home. MCC worship options are available online for days that you are not healthy enough to join us in person.
Given the governor’s newest guidelines for safety as it pertains to Covid-19, we are required to highly encourage everyone to wear a mask based on the new mandate. However, we understand that some people cannot wear a face covering at all times for different reasons. That said, please know that everyone is welcome here and we all need to respect each person’s choice as related to wearing a mask.
If you are not wearing a mask, please practice safe social distancing. We want everyone to feel comfortable entering the building and during the time they are here to offer their sacrifice of praise.
This is a caring church and this is a welcoming church. We are here to worship and we are here to support one another. This is not a time, and this is not an issue, that should cause any level of divisiveness. Please be considerate of each person within this church family as we come together in the “fellowship of believers.”
Romans 14:
“Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.”
